I was with 52 Sqn but the Libya pictures brought back some good memories. We came back to Blighty on the Sir Percival, a very pleasant 10 day cruise.

I did two stints with 51 sqn Op Crown and Malawi also worked on the runway on Isle of Skie. Whats happened to Taff Wilkes, Terry Steares, Bob Taylor , Jock Fergusson and Mick Fenton. you have made an excellent job of your site
my Dad was WO1/SSM in Ripon and Seletar. He is still alive and kicking, now aged 85. He spent nearly 40 years in the Army starting in WW11. He remembers 51 with affection as he was there at formation in Ripon 1965. He has mellowed in his later years. He sent me for a day to China Rock, although I was only 16 on leave from Chepstow.

Just had a good look at the web site for the first time and it is great. Beef you have put a lot of time and effort into this and i salute you for that. Enjoyed the 51 site. i remeber the 51 contingent that worked on the road in Thailand in 1967/8, great bunch. Ned Kelly, Chris Ellis paddy Finley and Jock Ferguson, where are you now? As for me I\'m still training/assessing plant operators.

i was with your unit in malawi in 1972 serving with the 15 field ambulance ramc seeing your pictures brought back many memories, do u remember the yellow bird sketch and i remember the young baboon at mess time with the knife , fork and spoon also the zambian guest house .

I was in 4 sqn 1963-1967(MT &Sigs) remember Ron Taylor and Alan Revel who put me on to the site.Anyone remember Black jack Vowles?Had cause to meet up with him on a flying visit delivering a ferret from Terendak (11 Indep Fd Sqn) to base workshops in Singapore.Didnt hang about.He had it in for Duke Vandenburg.What was the name of the provo sgt? Great site Beef, Realy enjoyed looking at the photos from Singapore and libya mind you I did not find one with me on it.My Christmas card list still includes Mike Scott, Chris Ellis, Ken Blatchford,and Len Millward who put me onto your site by the way.
