Harvey Andrews

I went to see Harvey Andrews at the Brook Theatre in Chatham. The venue is a small one and a bit cosy but Harve had everyone enthralled with his performance. There were a few younger people there(under 30) and they looked like they had been dragged along by their Parents but they were all converts by the end of the evening. If you have never seen or heard of Harvey before you are missing out on one of the finest singer song writers of this century and the last. There may be a problem for the younger generation in that you can actually understand the words and they make sence and tell a story.

Some of you may have only heard of his song "soldier " that was all the rage in Germany in the 70s well Harvey is a lot more than just the one song.

Below is a picture of Harvey and my self taken on the night. He is two years older than I am but is waring better than me.

Heres a pic of Bill Ludbrooke as he is now. He sent it via Les James who brought it to the reunion this year.

The 2010 reunion went off quite well but not everyone made it in time for the group photo so with a bit of messing about I have managed to rectify that omission.

I Got this picture from Paddy  Keane's Son  Steve. I am not sure of the location of the picture but its some where connected to the Military. Its the latest picture I have of our Sgt Major so I had to show it and I must say he looks good for his age.

We had a bit of a worry with Jim Davies just before Christmas. Roy Pinnock went down to see him and found no one at home and with a bit of a pile up of mail visible at the front door Roy got worried. He phoned me and I contacted Kevin Justin. It turned out there was nothing to worry about it was just that Jim had gone on his Holidays to Sri Lanka. I am told that his health is much restored and he should be at the reunion this year.

We have another contact. Many of you have asked if we knew where Mick (Geordie) Marshall was well I can now answer yes. Anyone who would like his contact details should send me an email. Below is a picture that he sent taken about three years ago. He looks good.
